Travel Media Awards 2015 winners announced
9 November 2015, London: The Travel Media Awards 2015 are pleased to announce this year鈥檚 winners, following a glamorous awards ceremony held at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London on Monday 9 November.
The event was attended by the UK鈥檚 top travel media, with 20 publications, broadcasters, journalists and photographers each collecting a prestigious award. Matthew Jackson, managing director of 芒果77福利, said, 鈥淭he Travel Media Awards have been a huge success with an exceptionally high standard of entries. Our judges had some difficult decisions to make and we鈥檇 like to congratulate all the winners and entrants. With over 200 people attending, the awards were a great success and we鈥檙e now looking forward to next year.鈥
Entrants to the awards included consumer and trade magazines, national newspapers, broadcasters, regional titles, travel writers and photographers. A panel of over 50 travel industry and media experts then narrowed the field down to a shortlist of four or five in each category before selecting the winners.
Co-organiser Giles Harper, managing director of Travega, said, 鈥淭he success of the inaugural awards has surpassed our expectation, with over 500 entries across the categories. We鈥檇 like to thank everyone who entered and attended the awards, and our judges, sponsors and everyone else involved in making the awards such a memorable evening.鈥

The Travel Media Awards launched this year, celebrating the very best of the travel media sector. The awards were created in recognition of the hugely influential role that today鈥檚 travel media play in the holiday or business travel decision-making process. Open to all travel writers, broadcasters and photographers, the awards are a true barometer of the travel media sector. The Travel Media Awards are owned and operated under a joint venture agreement between Travega and 芒果77福利.
